The Philippine aviation industry is preparing for takeoff with the upcoming 2024 Aviation Summit, a two-day event organized by the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP) and the Asian Business Aviation Association (AsBAA) in partnership with the Department of Transportation (DOTr). The summit will take place from 02 to 03 October 2024 at the Marriott Hotel Manila. It promises to be a pivotal event shaping the future of Philippine and regional aviation.
Carrying the theme “Climbing Towards Sustainable, Safe, Smart Philippine Aviation,” the summit will delve into the aviation industry’s critical role in driving the Philippine economy forward. It will also explore ways to promote sustainable development within the sector, ensuring its long-term viability.
“The 2024 Aviation Summit serves as a crucial platform for advancing the competitiveness of the Philippine aviation industry. With tremendous potential as a regional hub, the Philippines must take a comprehensive approach to unlock this opportunity — by providing favorable incentives for investors, investing in robust human capital development, and enacting forward-looking legislative reforms,” says ECCP President Paulo Duarte.

AsBAA Vice Chairman Maximilian Motschmann highlights the importance of building upon the progress made in 2023.
