Following the announcement of placing Metro Manila under a General Community Quarantine (GCQ) with Heightened Restrictions from today until 05 August 2021 and under an Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) effective 06 to 20 August 2021, the country’s flag carrier, Philippine Airlines (PAL/PR) will abide with the government’s issued guidelines.
For domestic travel to and from Manila, only essential travelers will be allowed until 20 August 2021.
International and domestic flights to and from Manila shall continue operating during the ECQ and heightened GCQ periods, subject to compliance with the travel restrictions and related travel protocols.
The airline also said that they may have to reduce or cancel flights on certain routes as a result of the restrictions, and they will make the appropriate announcements on any adjustments once these are finalized.
PAL said that affected passengers may opt to:
1. Rebook your flight to a later date;
2. Convert your ticket to a Travel Voucher;
3. Refund your ticket without penalties. (Terms and conditions apply)
