NTF Approves Increase in Inbound International Passenger Capacity

The National Task Force (NTF) for COVID-19 has given the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) approval to release a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) in relation to the increase of inbound international passenger capacity at three international airports.

In a letter addressed to CAAP Director General Capt. Jim C. Sydiongco today, 17 July 2020, Defense Secretary and Chairman of the NTF for COVID-19 Delfin Lorenzana allowed the gradual increase of daily passenger capacity restrictions of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA), and Clark International Airport (CIA) taking into consideration the respective airports’ COVID-19 testing capacities, and subject to close and full coordination with airport authorities.

With the increase, Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) will now be allowed to accept an additional 3,000 inbound international passengers daily, while Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA) and Clark International Airport (CIA) will have a 1,500 daily international passenger restrictions.
