To enhance efficiency and convenience for visa applicants, the Japan Visa Application Centre (JVAC) will officially commence operations on 07 April 2025. The new center, managed by VFS Service Philippines, Inc., will handle the acceptance and issuance of visa applications across multiple locations in the country.
New Visa Application Process
Starting 07 April 2025, all visa applications must be submitted at JVAC offices in Makati, Parañaque, Quezon City, Cebu, and Davao. Applications will no longer be accepted at accredited agencies after 06 April 2025. However, individuals who applied through an accredited agency before this date must still collect their passports from the same agency.
Application and Releasing Schedule
- Business Hours: Monday to Friday, 0700H – 1600H
- Application Hours:
- Makati, Parañaque, Quezon City: 0700H – 1400H
- Cebu, Davao: 0700H – 1200H
- Releasing Hours: Monday to Friday, 0700H – 1600H
The center will be closed on weekends and when the Embassy of Japan is closed.
Online Appointments Now Open
Visa applicants can book an appointment online starting 19 March 2025. They are advised to check the official website for appointment details and application procedures.
Applicants must pay a visa fee and a center usage fee of PHP520 at the time of application. For diplomatic or official passports and urgent humanitarian cases, individuals should contact the Embassy of Japan or the nearest Consulate in Cebu or Davao.
