Air France is set to expand its Asian network this winter, with the inauguration of a new non-stop service between Paris-Charles de Gaulle (CDG | LFPG) and Manila, Philippines (MNL | RPLL). Beginning 07 December 2024, the airline will operate three direct flights per week, connecting its global hub in Paris to Manila, a growing destination in Southeast Asia.
Flights will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays using the state-of-the-art Airbus A350-900. This aircraft will offer passengers a choice of 34 Business class seats, 24 in Premium Economy, and 266 in Economy class.
The flight schedule (local times) is as follows:
- AF208: Departing Paris-Charles de Gaulle at 2320H on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays, arriving in Manila at 1930H PhST the following day.
- AF209: Departing Manila at 2150H PhST on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, arriving at Paris-Charles de Gaulle at 0550H the following day.
These flight schedules are still subject to government approval.
With this new route, Air France strengthens its position in the region, complementing the existing Manila service operated by KLM, which flies to the city four times a week from Amsterdam Schiphol. Together, Air France and KLM aim to provide daily service between Europe and the Philippines through coordinated flight schedules.
Manila, the bustling capital of the Philippines, is known for its vibrant mix of history, culture, and modernity. Visitors can explore historical landmarks like Fort Santiago and the baroque San Agustin Church, while enjoying the city’s renowned culinary traditions. The Philippines’ natural beauty also beckons, with white sand beaches, turquoise lagoons, and lush rice terraces just a short flight away.
In addition to Manila, Air France will also serve several other major Asian cities this winter, including Tokyo, Osaka, Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Seoul, Bangkok, Singapore, and Ho Chi Minh City.
Manila’s addition is part of Air France’s broader global expansion plan for winter 2024-2025, which includes new routes to destinations like Salvador de Bahia (Brazil), Kilimanjaro (Tanzania), Malé (Maldives), and Kiruna (Sweden).
