In commemoration of World Pilots Day, AirAsia Philippines has taken a significant step towards bolstering its aviation workforce by organizing a one-day mass pilot recruitment event. The initiative, designed to recognize the vital contribution of pilots to the aviation sector, comes in the wake of the Labor Day celebrations.

Pilots, often hailed as the unsung heroes of air travel, play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of millions of passengers worldwide. However, the aviation industry has faced unprecedented challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic, resulting in job insecurities for many, including pilots.

Despite these obstacles, AirAsia Philippines remains steadfast in its commitment to not only meet the escalating demand for air travel but also to provide avenues for aspiring pilots to fulfill their dreams. Presently, the airline proudly boasts a team of 138 Captains and 116 First Officers.

Given AirAsia’s significant  order book of over 300  aircraft deliveries until 2035 under the AirAsia Aviation Group, there’s so much more to look forward to,” according to Ricky Isla, AirAsia Philippines CEO.
