AirAsia Philippines is marking the reopening of its Cebu hub with its signature P1SO Sale, giving travelers from the Visayas and Mindanao access to affordable fares just in time for the Christmas season. The announcement comes as the country enters the “BER months,” traditionally known for early holiday preparations and reunions.
From 03 to 14 September 2025, passengers booking through the MOVE app can enjoy one-way base fares starting at just PHP1, exclusive of fees and surcharges. The promotional seats, totaling more than 27,000, cover travel dates from 15 November 2025 to 28 March 2026.
The sale highlights newly reopened domestic routes from Cebu to Davao, Caticlan, and Iloilo, while international routes such as Cebu–Kuala Lumpur and Cebu–Macao are available from as low as PHP888 one-way base fare.
“Christmas starts early in the Philippines, and Filipinos plan ahead for this annual gathering among family, loved ones and friends. We are as excited as our friends in Cebu to offer value-driven products and services, beginning with the P1SO sale that will allow them to create purposeful journeys without the need to break the bank,” according to AirAsia Philippines President and CEO Capt. Suresh Bangah.
The Cebu hub operations will officially resume on 15 November 2025, with the following weekly flight frequencies:
- Cebu–Davao–Cebu: 18x weekly
- Cebu–Caticlan–Cebu: 11x weekly
- Cebu–Iloilo–Cebu: 4x weekly
- Cebu–Kuala Lumpur–Cebu: 14x weekly
- Cebu–Macao–Cebu: 3x weekly
AirAsia Aviation Group Chief Commercial Officer Amanda Woo emphasized that Cebu’s relaunch is part of the airline’s strategy to boost regional connectivity. “The reopening of Cebu hub signals AirAsia Group’s strong commitment to the Philippines, exploring new gateways that will drive great economic opportunities. This shall allow travelers from the southern part of the country to directly access over 136 destinations across Asean, North Asia and Europe via our mega hub in Kuala Lumpur. We laud our partners from the Mactan Cebu International Airport (MCIA), the Philippine Government and other stakeholders for ensuring the success of this comeback initiative,” said Woo.
In line with the hub’s reopening, AirAsia also launched a three-week pilot recruitment campaign, attracting hundreds of aspiring aviators eager to join the airline’s flight deck team. Successful candidates will undergo examinations, interviews, and simulator assessments, with training scheduled to begin in mid-September.
In addition, the airline’s Allstar Wednesday Castings for cabin crew positions remain ongoing until 29 October 2025, with weekly sessions every Wednesday morning. Applicants may visit the AirAsia Job Portal for full details on requirements and qualifications.
