AirAsia Philippines Unveils Lunar New Year Sale; Fares Starting at PHP122

AirAsia Philippines is kicking off the Lunar New Year with its 2.2 Sale, offering travelers one-way base fares as low as PHP122. The promo covers selected domestic and international destinations, with travel beginning on 27 January 2025 — just in time to celebrate the Lunar New Year.

The sale, inspired by the auspicious symbolism of the number 2, will run from 27 January 2025 to 02 February 2025. Travelers can take advantage of these affordable fares for trips as late as 31 July 2025. Over 500,000 seats are up for grabs, with bookings available via the MOVE App. Destinations include top international spots like Taiwan, Hong Kong, Seoul, Tokyo, and Osaka, as well as local favorites such as Iloilo, Boracay, and Puerto Princesa.

“AirAsia Philippines has seen a strong start to the year with a significant increase in seat sales including the previous three consecutive promos for the month of January, recording a high demand for our top domestic routes. This positive trend will further drive us in providing accessible air travel options for Filipinos. We are confident that this positive momentum, coupled with the decision to maintain the fuel surcharge at Level 4 throughout February, will further stimulate travel demand among our kababayans,” according to AirAsia Philippines Communications and Public Affairs Head, First Officer Steve Dailisan.

The timing of the sale aligns perfectly with upcoming travel opportunities, such as Valentine’s Day getaways and winter vacations. Guests can enjoy cool climates and enchanting destinations without breaking the bank.

Adding to the affordability, the Civil Aeronautics Board (CAB) has maintained the fuel surcharge at Level 4 for both domestic and international flights throughout February 2025. This marks the fifth consecutive month of stable surcharges, with domestic charges ranging from PHP117.00 to PHP342.00 and international charges from PHP385.70 to PHP2,867.82.
