AirAsia Soars to New Heights: Wins Top Honors at World Travel Awards Asia

AirAsia, the region’s leading low-cost carrier, continued its reign of dominance in the travel industry by securing two prestigious awards at the 2024 World Travel Awards Asia and Oceania ceremony. The airline was crowned Asia’s Leading Low-Cost Airline for the ninth consecutive year and Asia’s Leading Low-Cost Airline Cabin Crew for the eighth year in a row.

These accolades, voted by industry experts, travel professionals, and consumers, solidify AirAsia’s position as the premier choice for affordable and reliable air travel in the region. The airline’s commitment to innovation, exceptional service, and sustainability has resonated with travelers worldwide.

The World Travel Awards, often referred to as the “Oscars of the travel industry,” recognize excellence in various sectors of the travel and tourism industry. AirAsia’s repeated wins in these categories highlight its exceptional performance and dedication to customer satisfaction.

A giant airline seat greeting visitors at the AirAsia Philippines RedPoint Headquarters in NAIA Terminal 3 signals the onset of the “Ber months,” a period traditionally spent on reunions and staycations in the provinces or exploring ASEAN destinations. The giant seat also serves as a message to AirAsia guests to brace themselves for even bigger seat sales, starting with this month’s PISO Sale.

Offering more than 300,000 seats to all destinations, the PISO Sale is available until September 8. Guests can book their flights for only PHP1 one-way base fare for all domestic destinations, including Bacolod, Cagayan De Oro, Caticlan (Boracay), Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Kalibo, Puerto Princesa, Roxas City, Tacloban, and Tagbilaran. Meanwhile, international destinations are also offered for as low as PHP511 for Macau to PHP1,811 for flights as far as Tokyo. The PISO Sale is valid for future travels from 17 February 2025 until 31 January 2026.
