Starting 31 March 2023, All Nippon Airways (ANA) is introducing new options for its international in-flight pre-order meal service. Passengers can now choose the “Quick & Light Meal” and “No Thank you Option” meal options, which can be selected twenty-four hours before the flight departure time. The “Quick & Light Meal” service offers a salad, sandwich, and dessert on a single plate in First and Business Class on Europe, North America, and selected Asia routes. Passengers can also opt for the “No Thank you Option” to cancel their meal in advance if they do not wish to have their meal served after takeoff on board international routes and in all classes. These new services are aimed at providing passengers with a personalized and convenient inflight experience. ANA is Japan’s largest airline and has been awarded a 5-Star rating for 10 consecutive years.
“As a customer focused airline wanting to provide passengers with options that make their flight experience better, we view our actions from their perspective by creating personalized in-flight accommodations available for each passenger. By offering various options for services in-flight, ANA gives passengers greater flexibility and control over how they experience our brand,” according to Tomoji Ishii, Executive Vice President, Customer Experience Management and Planning of ANA.
The ANA Group has made a commitment to prioritize the resumption of global air travel and offer continuous support to the global community by enhancing customer satisfaction and developing higher-quality products and services. To achieve this goal, the ANA Future Promise initiative aims to reduce food waste by 50% by Fiscal 2050 in-flight and at airport lounges. The recent announcement introducing the “Quick & Light Meal” and “No Thank you Option” options for the in-flight pre-order meal service is aligned with this initiative, which is also supported by efforts in food waste recycling, composting, and reducing the number of in-flight meals on board each aircraft. ANA will continue to focus on developing environmentally friendly services and products to achieve its ANA Future Promise initiative and contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) while ensuring customer satisfaction.
