Aplus Expands Footprint with New El Nido Line Station, Supports AirSWIFT’s Inaugural Flight as Official Line Maintenance Provider

Aviation Partnership Philippines (Aplus) marked another milestone in its continuing expansion with the launch of its newest line station in El Nido (ENI), Palawan. The facility, located at the Lio Airport Terminal, officially began operations on 01 September 2025, with Aplus providing line maintenance support for AirSWIFT’s inaugural flight as its designated maintenance partner in the destination.

AirSWIFT, recently acquired by Cebu Pacific, has long connected travelers to El Nido, one of the country’s most popular island getaways. With Aplus stepping in as the official line maintenance provider, the airline is assured of technical support that prioritizes both operational efficiency and passenger safety. This collaboration underscores the Cebu Pacific Group’s vision of strengthening aviation services in key destinations while ensuring reliable travel experiences for passengers.

Aplus is a Manila-based MRO that specializes in line maintenance, light checks, and technical ramp handling for Cebu Pacific and third-party airlines. The company was established in 2005 as a joint venture between SIA Engineering Company (SIAEC) and Cebu Pacific, and in November 2020, it became wholly owned by Cebu Pacific following SIAEC’s divestment. Beyond line maintenance, Aplus offers shop support (including wheels, brakes, and battery services), tool loans, and CAAP-certified aviation training.

The establishment of the El Nido line station demonstrates Aplus’s growing presence in high-demand markets. By supporting AirSWIFT at this prime tourism gateway, Aplus not only strengthens the Cebu Pacific Group’s ecosystem but also bolsters the overall aviation infrastructure of the Philippines. Each expansion adds value to airline partners while contributing to the broader goal of connecting people and places through safe, efficient, and dependable flights.

This latest development also highlights the synergy within the Cebu Pacific Group, which continues to integrate operations across its subsidiaries and partners. By positioning Aplus as AirSWIFT’s official line maintenance provider, the group ensures consistency in safety and reliability, reinforcing its mission of serving both domestic and international travelers with world-class standards.

Beyond the technical aspect, the El Nido station also plays a strategic role in supporting Philippine tourism. As one of the country’s most sought-after destinations, El Nido’s growth as a hub for sustainable travel depends on robust aviation services. Aplus’s presence ensures that more flights to and from Palawan can be handled with safety and efficiency, ultimately benefiting both the airline industry and the local economy.
