Best Western Taps Savers Group as Exclusive Developer in the Philippines to Fuel Nationwide Hotel Expansion

Best Western International has signed a landmark Developer Agreement with Savers Group Holdings (SGH), appointing the Pampanga-based conglomerate as its Exclusive Developer in the Philippines. The strategic partnership, formalized on 07 July 2025 in Angeles City, aims to accelerate the expansion of Best Western’s portfolio across key growth areas in the country.

Present at the signing ceremony were SGH Chairman Jaime “Jack” Uy, President and COO Jansen Ivan Uy, and Executive Vice President Justine Shaun Uy. Representing Best Western International were Vice President for Asia Pacific Olivier Berrivin, Managing Director for Operations Rodney Simpson, and Managing Director for Development Cyrill Czerwonka.

Under the agreement, SGH will lead efforts to identify, support, and develop hotel properties seeking affiliation with any of Best Western’s globally recognized brands. These include Best Western®, Best Western Plus®, Best Western Premier®, BW Signature Collection®, and the SureStay® family of hotels.

“With decades of hospitality experience rooted in over 40 years of business excellence, SGH is ready to take our guest experience nationwide under the prestigious Best Western brand. We’re proud to enhance the value of a brand already trusted by discerning travelers,” according to SGH Chairman Jaime Uy.

The partnership targets rapid expansion in high-potential areas such as Clark, Subic, and Metro Manila, as well as other emerging destinations across the country. As a first milestone, SGH announced the upcoming opening of the Best Western Plus Hotel Subic, scheduled for July 2025. The hotel will feature modern accommodations and upscale amenities in one of the Philippines’ most dynamic tourism and business hubs.

Chairman Uy highlighted the strategic alignment between the partnership and SGH’s vision to help transform Central Luzon — particularly Clark and Subic — into a hospitality powerhouse. “We are honored to help grow Best Western’s footprint in the Philippines and excited to work with hotel owners who share our commitment to quality and innovation,” he added.

This collaboration marks a significant step in addressing the growing demand for international-standard accommodations in the Philippines. It also reinforces both companies’ shared commitment to boosting tourism, creating jobs, and contributing to inclusive regional economic development.
