Global aerospace leader Boeing has announced the appointment of Dana Deasy as its new Chief Information and Digital Officer (CIDO) and Senior Vice President of Information Technology & Data Analytics. Deasy’s election to the role becomes effective 31 December 2024.
In his new position, Deasy will oversee Boeing’s information technology, cybersecurity, and data analytics operations, reporting directly to President and CEO Kelly Ortberg. In addition, he will join Boeing’s Executive Council, contributing to the company’s strategic decision-making.
“Dana is a well-respected, global technology leader who has a track record of delivering on innovative technologies across large and complex organizations. With the need to stay vigilant to protect against cyber threats, and emerging technologies like artificial intelligence playing a larger role across all industries, our IT team will have a key role as we focus on meeting our safety and quality goals, delivering reliably for our customers and positioning ourselves for the future,” said Ortberg.
Deasy brings over 40 years of experience in technology and leadership across multiple industries. His distinguished career includes serving as Chief Information Officer (CIO) for the U.S. Department of Defense, as well as holding CIO roles at JPMorgan Chase, BP, and General Motors. Deasy began his career in information management at Rockwell’s Space Systems Division.
Deasy succeeds Susan Doniz, who exited the company in late 2023.
