Boracay stands out as the favored travel destination for both individual and group travelers, outpacing Bohol, Cebu, and Puerto Princesa in AirAsia Philippines‘ travel records.
According to the latest data from AirAsia, a whopping 250,000 guests have already planned and booked their flights to Boracay, scheduling their travel for February, March, April, and May 2024. This represents an impressive 72% of the total number of guests flown to the island last year, totaling 377,000. The surge in bookings is expected to significantly boost Boracay’s economy, aligning with the Department of Tourism and the Local Government of Aklan’s projection of over 2.3 million tourists visiting the island in the current year.
“Boracay is top 3 in our most visited domestic destinations. It is not just the summer when we see an influx of guests flying to Boracay, but all year round. During the pandemic, this island was a haven for remote work set-up. Now, the island has regained its fame for short and long vacations. Guests fly to the island to unwind and spend their holiday and we intend to always make their flight booking concerns hassle-free. TravelOnlinePH has always been an offline reliable partner and we extend our warmest congratulations as they achieve this milestone,” according to First Officer Steve Dailisan, AirAsia Head of Communications and Public Affairs.
To enhance convenience for travelers, particularly those seeking to extend their stay on the idyllic island, TravelOnlinePH, the official travel partner of the World’s Best Low-Cost Airline, has inaugurated its Travel & Service Center in the heart of Boracay. This center aims to assist tourists with rebooking their tickets, making additional flight reservations, discovering affordable accommodations, engaging in activities, and exploring other travel options, all with the support of dedicated travel experts.
Strategically located at Station 2, AirAsia’s Travel & Service Center ensures easy accessibility for guests, given its proximity to mid-range hotels, shopping centers, restaurants, and bars. This move reflects AirAsia’s commitment to providing a seamless and enjoyable travel experience for visitors to Boracay, as the island continues to capture the hearts of a growing number of travelers.
