The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) has joined forces with the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) to develop a groundbreaking Civil Aviation Master Plan (CAMP). This initiative aims to elevate the Philippine aviation sector by focusing on global safety, efficiency, and sustainability standards.
The CAMP is designed as a strategic framework to address the challenges facing the Philippine aviation industry while unlocking opportunities for innovation and growth. As part of its development, CAAP, alongside EASA experts, is conducting high-level sessions from 21 to 23 January 2025. These discussions are part of the EU-ASEAN Sustainable Connectivity Package (SCOPE) Aviation Partnership Project (APP), a flagship EU program promoting enhanced air transport connectivity, safety, and sustainability across ASEAN and EU member states.

Under this partnership, EASA has deployed eight aviation experts to collaborate closely with CAAP in crafting a master plan tailored to the specific needs of the Philippines. The sessions provide a critical platform for stakeholders to outline objectives, address pressing industry challenges, and shape a unified vision for a more resilient and sustainable aviation sector.
The CAMP initiative highlights CAAP’s commitment to fostering partnerships that deliver long-term benefits for the aviation industry, passengers, and the national economy. By strengthening infrastructure and capabilities, CAAP seeks to establish the Philippines as a premier hub for safe, efficient, and sustainable air transport within the ASEAN region.
With this collaboration, Philippine aviation is poised to soar to new heights, setting a benchmark for excellence in the global aviation landscape.
