Cebu Pacific has officially marked a significant milestone in Philippine aviation history by becoming the first local airline to operate a fleet of 100 aircraft. This achievement was highlighted by the recent delivery of its newest addition — a brand-new Airbus A330neo, which further cements Cebu Pacific’s position as the largest A330neo operator in the Asia-Pacific region.
The 459-seater A330neo (with tail number RP-C3911) arrived in Manila from Airbus’ facility in Toulouse, France, earlier today, becoming the 12th aircraft of its kind in CEB’s growing fleet. This particular delivery is the second of four A330neo aircraft scheduled to join the airline this year, following the arrival of the first unit on 28 March 2025. Cebu Pacific has also confirmed plans to accept seven more aircraft deliveries in 2025 as part of its ongoing fleet expansion strategy.
“Reaching 100 aircraft is more than a milestone — it reflects our unwavering commitment to make air travel accessible to more Filipinos. With a larger fleet, we’re able to operate more efficiently, enhance connectivity across the country and the region, and pass on the benefits of scale through even lower fares,” according to Xander Lao, CEB President and Chief Commercial Officer.
This landmark delivery comes as Cebu Pacific experiences sustained passenger growth. In June 2025 alone, the airline flew 2.2 million passengers, representing a 7.9% increase year-on-year. From January to June 2025, CEB recorded 13.9 million passengers, a 21% surge from the 11.5 million carried in the first half of 2024.
The A330neo offers Cebu Pacific enhanced flexibility for operating both regional and long-haul routes, as well as high-demand domestic sectors. Known for its increased range and fuel efficiency, the aircraft enables the airline to optimize operations and maintain cost-effective services. As part of Airbus’ latest generation of aircraft, the NEO family burns up to 25% less fuel per flight and generates significantly lower noise levels, helping to reduce the airline’s overall carbon footprint.
Cebu Pacific continues to operate one of the youngest and most modern fleets in the world. Its diversified aircraft portfolio now includes 12 Airbus A330s, 40 Airbus A320s, 26 Airbus A321s, and 22 ATR turboprop aircraft. This fleet composition enables CEB to maintain the widest domestic network in the Philippines while expanding its international reach.
With this latest milestone, Cebu Pacific reaffirms its commitment to providing affordable and sustainable air travel to Filipinos and solidifying its leadership in the Philippine aviation industry.
