Cebu Pacific (CEB) and Avolon, a major player in aviation finance, have united to renovate a community center in Lang Lang, Cebu. This partnership highlights their mutual dedication to enriching local communities through impactful initiatives.
The community center, overseen by the charitable organization City Gates Academy, serves as a lifeline for underprivileged children in the area, offering essential nutritional support and ample recreational space.
“Cebu Pacific has always aimed to pay forward to the communities we serve. We are grateful for partners like Avolon who share our passion for making meaningful impact. This partnership not only shows our deep commitment to social responsibility but also highlights the power of collective action and volunteerism in driving lasting change,” according to Felix Lopez, CEB Chief Human Resources Officer.
More than 50 volunteers from CEB and Avolon enthusiastically contributed to the renovation project. Their efforts encompassed the construction of an outdoor kitchen, the installation of a play area, and the establishment of a vegetable garden, enhancing the center’s facilities and resources.
This collaboration represents a significant milestone for both entities. CEB becomes Avolon’s inaugural airline partner in a community development venture beyond its usual operational borders.

It has been an uplifting experience working together to improve the lives of the children who benefit from the important work of the City Gates Academy.
