Cebu Pacific (CEB) has unveiled an expansion plan for its Clark International Airport (CRK | RPLC) hub, introducing new routes and shifting operations from Manila (MNL | RPLL | NAIA) to improve efficiency and accessibility. This move comes as part of the airline’s broader strategy to optimize airport capacity and offer more travel opportunities to passengers.
Starting 30 March 2025, Cebu Pacific will launch daily direct flights from Clark (CRK) to El Nido (ENU) and Coron (Busuanga | USU), both renowned for their picturesque beaches and vibrant marine life. These new routes aim to provide travelers from the Greater Manila Area, North, and Central Luzon with greater access to Palawan’s world-class islands and outdoor adventures.
New Route | Frequency |
---|---|
Clark (CRK) - El Nido (ENI) - Clark (CRK) | Daily |
Clark (CRK) - Coron [Busuanga] (USU) - Clark (CRK) | Daily |
In addition to the new Palawan flights, Cebu Pacific will transfer several existing turboprop services from Manila’s Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) to Clark. Flights to Masbate (MBT | RPVJ) and Caticlan (Boracay | MPH | RPVE) will be relocated, while direct services between Manila and Catarman (CRM | RPVF) will be discontinued, with passengers connecting via Cebu (CEB | RPVM). This shift is in line with a resolution from the Department of Transportation to optimize operations at NAIA.
“We are delighted to announce that Cebu Pacific will now operate a total of 15 domestic and international destinations from Clark, further solidifying its position as the largest carrier operating from this station. This expansion not only reaffirms our commitment to making Clark a vibrant hub for air travel but also highlights its importance as a gateway connecting the Greater Manila Area, as well as the Northern and Central Luzon to some of the Philippines’ most sought-after destinations,” according to Xander Lao, Cebu Pacific President and Chief Commercial Officer during the airline’s press briefing earlier today in Parañaque City.
Cebu Pacific’s expansion of its Clark hub will see the airline servicing a total of 15 domestic and international destinations from the airport, further cementing its role as the largest carrier operating from Clark.
The transfer of several Cebgo (DG) turboprop flights, including those to Masbate (MBT | RPVJ) and Siargao (IAO | RPNS), from NAIA Terminal 2 to Clark will begin on 30 March 2025. The airline emphasized that this transition is a gradual process, designed to ease congestion at NAIA while providing passengers with more efficient travel options.
Candice Iyog, Vice President for Marketing and Customer Experience at Cebu Pacific, added, “By distributing traffic to other airports, we aim to create a more seamless and efficient air travel for our passengers by improving operational efficiency. We can streamline processes and ensure a higher level of comfort and convenience for all of our travelers. However, we also recognize that these changes may also pose challenges for affected passengers. So with this in mind, we are committed to providing flexible solutions to ensure minimal disruptions with their plans.”
Cebu Pacific affirms its commitment to providing flexible solutions for passengers affected by these changes, offering options to rebook, request a refund, or convert bookings into non-expiring travel funds. In addition, the airline continues to offer special promotions and seat sales, making air travel more affordable and accessible to all.
Passengers are encouraged to check flight details and terminal information on Cebu Pacific’s website and keep their contact details up to date for the latest updates on flight schedules and services.
