Cebu Pacific (CEB), the Philippines’ leading airline, has further strengthened its partnership with the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) to encourage more travelers to visit Singapore and experience all the Lion City has to offer. The airline and the tourism board had previously signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) in April 2022, signaling the reopening of Singapore’s borders. Now, after a successful partnership over the past year, both parties have renewed their commitment by signing a new MOU for 2023. The renewed partnership will focus on joint marketing and promotions, as well as joint business development in fly-cruise and meetings and incentive corporate groups. Singapore remains one of the most popular destinations for travelers from the Philippines.
“We are delighted to renew our partnership with Cebu Pacific, which contributed greatly to Singapore’s strong tourism numbers for 2022. The Philippines is a key market for Singapore, and the attractive promotions from Cebu Pacific will be complemented by STB’s ‘SingapoRewards’ program, which offers a free experience for every eligible tourist to Singapore,” according to Juliana Kua, Assistant Chief Executive for International Group, Singapore Tourism Board (STB).
In a bid to attract more international visitors, a new program called SingapoRewards has been launched. This initiative will give tourists the chance to try almost 40 new or lesser-known experiences in Singapore for free throughout 2023. Whether it’s an off-the-beaten-path attraction or a unique experience, SingapoRewards aims to showcase the diverse offerings of the city to visitors from all over the world. Redemptions and bookings can be made on the VisitSingapore app or SingapoRewards microsite at https://singaporewards.visitsingapore.com/.
CEB provides strong connectivity to Singapore as it currently flies from Manila, Cebu, and Davao, and starting in April 2023, from Clark, Pampanga.
“We value this partnership with the Singapore Tourism Board. With recovery in place and our growth plans set in motion, our main goal now is to fly every Juan to exciting destination such as Singapore and enjoy all the offerings in this beautiful destination that we missed doing during the pandemic,” said Candice Iyog, Chief Marketing and Customer Experience Officer of Cebu Pacific.
The airline offers convenient access to Singapore, with three (03) daily flights between Manila and Lion City. Travelers from the Visayas can also easily reach Singapore through CEB’s daily flights from Mactan Cebu International Airport. To further expand its reach, CEB will increase its Singapore flights from Davao to four times a week starting on 26 March 2023. Moreover, starting 28 April 2023, passengers from Northern Luzon will have a new gateway as CEB launches its daily Clark-Singapore flight. To encourage more people to travel to Singapore, CEB is offering one-way base fares for as low as PHP499 (exclusive of surcharges and fees) from 13 to 15 March 2023, for travel from 01 June 2023 to 30 November 2023. Passengers can use their Travel Funds to pay for flights and other add-ons, and other payment options such as payment centers, credit or debit cards, and e-wallets are also available. With a network of 34 domestic and 25 international destinations spanning Asia, Australia, and the Middle East, CEB is committed to making travel more accessible and affordable for everyone.
