Cebu Pacific Showcases Philippine Wonders on Dubai’s Burj Khalifa

Cebu Pacific marked a historic milestone as the first Philippine company to illuminate Dubai’s iconic Burj Khalifa with a breathtaking light and sound display. Held on Saturday, 23 November 2024, the event highlighted the campaign “Fly to Happy, Fly to the Philippines,” showcasing the beauty and cultural richness of the Philippines to a global audience.

The dazzling projection on the world’s tallest building featured vivid images of the Philippines’ renowned tourist destinations. These included the pristine beaches of Boracay, Palawan, and Cebu, along with natural landmarks such as the Mayon Volcano in Legazpi, the Chocolate Hills in Bohol, and Mt. Apo in Davao. The display also celebrated the warmth and hospitality of Filipinos, a hallmark of the country’s unique charm.

“We’re proud to share a piece of home on such a grand stage. This is a celebration of Philippine pride and an invitation for travelers to connect with the unique beauty, culture, and warmth that our country offers,” according to Xander Lao, CEB President and Chief Commercial Officer.

The campaign aims to inspire travelers worldwide to discover the Philippines’ wonders while offering overseas Filipinos in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) a heartfelt glimpse of home.

To complement this initiative, Cebu Pacific launched a special seat sale from 22 to 30 November 2024. Travelers from key international hubs — including Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea, Australia, and the Middle East — can avail of discounted flights to the Philippines for trips scheduled in early 2025.

Cebu Pacific, the Philippines’ leading airline, operates the most extensive network in the country with over 60 destinations across Asia, Australia, and the Middle East. Its hubs in Manila, Cebu, Clark, Iloilo, and Davao provide seamless inter-island connectivity, making it easier for international visitors to explore the Philippines’ diverse attractions.
