To accommodate this expansion, CEB will increase its Cebu hub’s fleet to 13, with two more aircraft to be stationed at MCIA. These additional aircraft will be in addition to the ten (10) new Airbus NEO planes scheduled for delivery in 2023 to grow the airline’s entire fleet. As previously announced, the airline will begin operating direct flights from Cebu to Naga on 26 March 2023 and resume flights to Hong Kong and Narita from Cebu on 26 March 2023 and 01 May 2023, respectively.

“Cebu Pacific is proud to have its largest base outside Manila in one of the best airports in Asia. We are excited to further expand our Cebu hub to connect more travelers to some of the world’s best beaches and islands,” according to Candice Iyog, Cebu Pacific Chief Marketing and Customer Experience Officer.

The airline is promoting travel by launching a special seat sale from 20 to 23 March 2023, which allows travelers from Visayas and Mindanao to book their flights to select domestic and international destinations for as low as PHP 1 one-way base fare, exclusive of fees and surcharges. The travel period is from 01 June 2023 to 30 September 2023. As the airline celebrates its 27th anniversary this March, it is expanding its hubs in Clark and Cebu. To mark the occasion, the airline hosted a special anniversary gathering at NUSTAR Resort and Casino in Cebu City.

CEB’s inaugural flight from Manila to Cebu was on 08 March 1996. Since then, the airline has been committed to making air travel affordable and accessible to everyone, enabling every Juan to fly by continuously expanding its network. The airline currently operates in 34 domestic and 25 international destinations across Asia, Australia, and the Middle East.
