DHL Express to Implement 5.9% Annual Rate Adjustment in the Philippines Starting 2026

DHL Express, the global leader in international express services, has announced that it will implement its annual price adjustment in the Philippines beginning 01 January 2026. The rate increase for the country has been set at 5.9%, aligning with the company’s global strategy of adapting to inflation, regulatory requirements, and the evolving international trade environment.

Nigel Lockett, Country Managing Director of DHL Express Philippines, emphasized that the move is part of the company’s ongoing commitment to providing reliable services in the face of changing economic and geopolitical conditions.

“We remain committed to helping our customers navigate the complexities of the current global trade landscape, which has been significantly impacted by recent geopolitical shifts. With this annual price adjustment, we can continue to enhance our network’s resilience and adaptability, ensuring consistent support for our customers’ businesses irrespective of external factors,” Lockett said.

DHL Express conducts rate adjustments on an annual basis. These are determined by several factors, including global inflation trends, currency dynamics, and the rising costs associated with compliance with regulatory and security measures. Such requirements are regularly updated by national and international authorities across the company’s extensive network of over 220 countries and territories. The rate of increase may differ by market, depending on local economic conditions and operational demands.

The 2026 adjustment in the Philippines follows a long-standing practice by DHL Express to ensure that it can sustain high service quality, invest in network improvements, and maintain compliance with international standards. By proactively adjusting rates, the company positions itself to continue delivering secure and reliable services to its customers, particularly those engaged in global trade.
