Emirates SkyCargo, the air freight division of Emirates, has appointed Jassem Al Mulla as the new Cargo Manager for the Philippines. This strategic appointment underscores Emirates’ commitment to growing its cargo operations in the Philippines and supporting the country’s thriving export sector, particularly among micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
Jassem brings over 15 years of extensive experience within Emirates to his new role. Since joining the company in 2009 through the UAE National program in IT, he has held various key positions across Emirates’ operations. Notably, he played a crucial role in developing the Emirates Group Safety application, which significantly enhanced the company’s security protocols across its network.
Prior to his new assignment in the Philippines, Jassem served as Cargo Manager in both Morocco and Jordan. His proven track record in leadership and excellence aligns perfectly with Emirates’ philosophy of promoting talent from within the organization.
“The Philippine cargo industry is experiencing an exciting period of growth. The country’s ongoing investments in logistics infrastructure, coupled with the rising demand for local exports, are creating a significant need for specialized air cargo services and connections to key international markets. I’m eager to collaborate with the local Emirates SkyCargo team to ensure we play a vital role in sustaining the Philippines’ post-pandemic momentum by empowering local businesses to export their products worldwide,” said Jassem Al Mulla, upon assuming his new role.
The Philippines represents a significant market within Emirates SkyCargo’s expansive global network. The company facilitates the transportation of key commodities from the Philippines, including fresh produce, garments, and electronics, to various destinations around the world.
