State-owned flag carrier airline Emirates will be operating a passenger flight from Manila (MNL) to Dubai (DXB) on 30 May 2020. This one-way flight is mounted to facilitate returning OFW residents of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). EK335 is set to depart MNL at around 2355H (11:55 PM) of Saturday, 30 May 2020 and is expected to arrive in DXB the following morning at 0445H (4:45 AM).
As mandated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation and Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, those who wish to return to the UAE must meet their entry requirements and obtain an entry permit online at this URL [https://smartservices.ica.gov.ae/echannels/web/client/default.html] prior to booking flights.
Applicants will then receive approval before proceeding to book their flight tickets on emirates.com or sending an email to [email protected]. Only passengers holding a UAE residence permit (in addition to an entry permit from the UAE authorities) will be allowed to board.
Passengers are also advised that cabin baggage will not be accepted on these flights. Carry-on items allowed in the cabin will be limited to a laptop, handbag, briefcase, or baby items. All other items must be checked in, and Emirates will add the cabin baggage allowance to customers’ check-in baggage allowance.
Passengers arriving Dubai shall be subjected to a mandatory DHA test upon arrival plus a mandatory 14-day quarantine at the passengers’ own expense. They will also be compelled to have a follow-up test before release.
As part of the airlines safety precaution, magazines and print reading material will not be available on these flights. Inflight meals will be served in hygienic prepacked meal boxes, offering customers sandwiches, beverages, snacks, and desserts. A selection of hot snacks will also be served on long-haul flights. All Emirates aircraft go through enhanced cleaning and disinfection processes in Dubai, after each journey.
The airline said that additional flights may be added from June 1 with prior approval by the Philippines authorities. Passengers are advised to be at the NAIA at least four (04) hours before their flights. Emirates’ check-in counters will only process passengers holding confirmed bookings and entry permits to the UAE.
