Emirates Unveils First Wave of Destinations for A350 Aircraft Network Expansion

Emirates has revealed the initial roster of destinations to be served by its cutting-edge Airbus A350 aircraft, set to commence operations in September 2024. With a fleet expansion plan encompassing ten (10) new A350s by March 2025, Emirates aims to introduce its latest aircraft to nine destinations in the near future, promising passengers the latest in onboard luxury.

The forthcoming Emirates A350 fleet will feature three distinct cabin classes, including 32 state-of-the-art Business Class seats, 21 seats in Premium Economy, and 259 generously spaced Economy Class seats. These aircraft are slated to service short to medium-haul routes within the Emirates network, with Bahrain earmarked as the debut destination.

As the inaugural Emirates A350s prepare for integration into the fleet, passengers can anticipate enhanced opportunities to experience the airline’s acclaimed Premium Economy product and pioneering Business Class cabins, particularly on regional routes spanning the Middle East, GCC, West Asia, and Europe.

The initial cities set to welcome the Emirates A350 include:

Middle East/GCC

  • Bahrain will be the first destination, with daily service commencing on September 15, gradually increasing to cover two daily flights from November 1.
  • Kuwait will follow suit on September 16 with daily service.
  • Muscat’s daily flights will transition to A350 service from December 1.

West Asia

  • Mumbai will see A350 deployment from October 27 on the EK502/503 route.

  • Colombo’s fourth daily service will adopt A350 aircraft from January 1, 2025.

Europe

  • Bologna will also receive A350 flights from December 1.
  • Edinburgh is poised to rejoin the Emirates network from November 4, with further details forthcoming.

Emirates assures passengers that more destinations will be announced as additional A350 aircraft are incorporated into its fleet. Tickets for flights to A350 destinations are now available for purchase through emirates.com, the Emirates App, or authorized travel agents.

Travelers can anticipate the A350’s spacious and serene cabin, characterized by high ceilings, ample storage, and customized mood lighting aimed at reducing fatigue and jet lag. Further details regarding Emirates A350 seat features and cabin amenities will be disclosed in the ensuing months.

With 65 A350-900s on order, Emirates strategically aligns its fleet expansion with both the airline’s growth trajectory and Dubai’s economic ambitions outlined by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, aiming to elevate Dubai’s international trade connectivity by adding 400 cities to its foreign trade map within the next decade.
