FedEx Expands Export Permit Services to 41 New Locations, Empowering Filipino SMEs to Go Global

FedEx has announced the expansion of its export permit services to 41 additional retail outlets across the Philippines, bolstering its support for Filipino small and medium enterprises (SMEs) looking to compete in the global marketplace. The initiative includes 18 new International Parcel Express (IPX) branches and 23 Airspeed outlets, bringing the total number of service points nationwide to 240.

This significant increase in service locations highlights FedEx’s ongoing commitment to making international shipping more accessible and efficient for local entrepreneurs. In addition to the new IPX and Airspeed sites, the company’s export permit services are also available at 199 2GO outlets nationwide, making it easier for SMEs and e-commerce businesses to comply with regulatory requirements for international shipments.

Authorized retail stores in the network are equipped to assist with documentation and export permit processing, helping businesses meet the compliance standards necessary for global trade. The expanded network enhances convenience for Filipino exporters by offering expert assistance on a wide range of permitted export items.

Products that can be processed under the FedEx export permit service include fishery goods, magnetic media storage devices, and a variety of consumer items such as medicines, dietary supplements, soaps, medical equipment, creams, and toothpaste. In addition, the service covers shipments related to repair and return items, as well as documents like certificates of origin.

The expansion is part of a broader FedEx strategy to strengthen the country’s export infrastructure and help Filipino SMEs grow beyond domestic borders. By streamlining the process of accessing international markets, FedEx ensures local products can be delivered globally with speed, reliability, and regulatory compliance.

As the global marketplace becomes increasingly competitive, initiatives like this provide crucial support to Philippine-based SMEs, enabling them to scale operations and meet international demand with confidence.
