Federal Express Corporation (FedEx) marked its 40th year in the Philippines with a fun run that championed animal welfare. The event, held at the Clark Parade Grounds, saw over 600 participants including customers, team members, and their families.
The 3-kilometer and 5-kilometer fun run was held in collaboration with Noah’s Ark Dog and Cat Shelter, a local non-profit organization. Participants were even encouraged to bring their furry companions, making it a fun and inclusive event for pet owners.
“Our commitment to the Philippines goes beyond just supporting local businesses. We are dedicated to making a positive impact on the communities we serve. This fun run provided a perfect opportunity for our team members, customers, and their families to bond while supporting a worthy cause. It embodies our purpose of connecting people and possibilities around the world in responsible ways, ultimately creating a better future,” according to Maribeth Espinosa, Managing Director of FedEx Philippines.
The event resonated with animal welfare advocates. “We are incredibly grateful to FedEx for inviting us to be part of this special event. The fun run not only raised awareness for animal protection but also provided a platform to showcase our rescue efforts and help find loving homes for our animals,” shared Leah Ibuna, owner and founder of Noah’s Ark Dog and Cat Shelter.
This initiative aligns with FedEx’s commitment to social responsibility through its FedEx Cares program. The program focuses on key areas like Delivering for Good, Global Entrepreneurship, Sustainable Logistics, Employee Engagement, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
The fun run was made possible with the support of several sponsors, including Anytime Fitness, Aventus, Bisolv, Clark Marriott Hotel, Clark Water, DML, Evolve, Fitbar, Mogu Mogu, SJLD, Trence Fitness Center Management, Wert Philippines, and Xtreme Works.
