Airlines based in the Philippines are extending the suspension of their commercial passenger flights until the 15th of May 2020 (at least) due to the extension of the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) as announced by President Rodrigo Roa Duterte earlier today.
Philippine Airlines
The country’s flag carrier, Philippine Airlines (PAL) and PAL Express said that they intend to resume bring their fleet back on the air by 16 May 2020, if allowed by government authorities.
Cebu Pacific Air & Cebgo
Low Cost Carriers (LCC) Cebu Pacific Air (CEB) and Cebgo said that all of their domestic and international flights will remain cancelled until 15 May 2020. Initially, the airline company said that they will resume operations by May 1st (prior to the extension of the ECQ today).
AirAsia Philippines
As the ECQ was extended, AirAsia cancels all domestic and international Z2 flights until 15 May 2020.
Since the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) has been imposed in Luzon, commercial flights throughout the country have been suspended, with the exception of cargo flights.
