Lockheed Martin’s Sikorsky Inks Deal with Asian Aerospace to Supply Black Hawk Helicopter Parts in the Philippines

Sikorsky, a subsidiary of Lockheed Martin Corporation, revealed a groundbreaking international reseller agreement with Asian Aerospace Corporation. Under this agreement, Asian Aerospace Corporation will exclusively serve as the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) – authorized reseller of Sikorsky spare parts and repair services for the renowned Black Hawk helicopter family of products in the Philippines.

“Sikorsky has partnered with Asian Aerospace to bid on public tenders, leveraging their local expertise to navigate the Philippine procurement processes quickly and efficiently. This will put OEM-approved, high-quality parts in the hands of the customers to support their rapidly growing fleet. Sikorsky is establishing scalable strategies to support the sustainment needs of the growing fleet, and Asian Aerospace is a key component to that strategy,” according to Felipe Benvegnu, Sikorsky Global Sustainment Director.

The Philippine Air Force (PAF), currently equipped with a fleet of fifteen (15) S-70i Black Hawk helicopters, is on the brink of expanding its capabilities with the acquisition of an impressive 32 additional aircraft over the next three (03) years. This expansion will position the PAF as the world’s largest S-70i operator, a remarkable feat in the realm of military aviation.

The S-70 Black Hawk, highly sought after and respected across the globe, is renowned for its reliability and versatility in various mission profiles. Built at Lockheed Martin’s PZL Mielec facility in Poland, this remarkable utility aircraft boasts exceptional multi-mission capabilities and military-grade airworthiness, allowing it to operate seamlessly in extreme weather conditions, whether day or night.

“We’re excited to partner with Sikorsky to deliver authorized parts and high-quality repair services for our Black Hawk customers here in the Philippines. This alliance ensures timely and dedicated support to the largest S-70i Black Hawk fleet in the world,” said Peter Rodriguez, Asian Aerospace Executive Vice President.

Lockheed Martin Corporation, headquartered in Bethesda, Maryland, is a globally recognized leader in the fields of security and aerospace. With a workforce of approximately 116,000 individuals worldwide, Lockheed Martin is at the forefront of research, design, development, manufacturing, integration, and sustainment of advanced technology systems, products, and services.

The new reseller agreement between Sikorsky and Asian Aerospace Corporation underscores the commitment to providing top-tier aviation solutions to the Philippine Air Force. As the PAF takes delivery of additional S-70i Black Hawk helicopters, this partnership ensures that they have access to genuine Sikorsky spare parts and reliable repair services, enhancing the longevity and operational readiness of their growing Black Hawk fleet. This collaboration is set to strengthen Sikorsky’s position as a trusted provider of military-grade aircraft solutions on the global stage, reaffirming its reputation for excellence and dependability.
