NAIA Launches New Website as Airport Transitions to Private Management Under NNIC

The Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA | MNL | RPLL) has officially launched a new website, https://www.newnaia.com.ph/, marking a significant milestone in its transition to private management under the New NAIA Infrastructure Corporation (NNIC). This move follows NNIC’s PHP3 billion upfront payment to the Philippine government, which officially finalized the handover of NAIA’s operations and maintenance on 14 September 2024.

The NNIC, a private firm led by San Miguel Corporation (SMC), now oversees the country’s main gateway. The substantial PHP3 billion payment was remitted by the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) to the Bureau of the Treasury, effectively sealing the transition of management responsibilities to the private sector.

The newly launched website aims to provide travelers and stakeholders with an updated and user-friendly portal for accessing information about NAIA. The revamped site features a modern design and reflects the new branding under NNIC management, including a fresh logo and updated social media accounts. Travelers can now visit the new site for flight information, terminal updates, and essential travel services.

This transition is seen as part of a broader effort to improve services at NAIA, which has faced challenges in recent years, including congestion and the need for upgrades in infrastructure. Under the leadership of SMC, the NNIC is expected to implement improvements in airport facilities, passenger experience, and overall operational efficiency.
