PAF Chopper Crash in Isabela

A UH-1D Huey chopper of the Philippine Air Force (PAF) with tail number 8308 (in the photo above) crash-landed while taking off at the Cauayan Air Station in Cauayan City, Isabela on the evening of Thursday, 25 July 2020 at around 1900H.

Based on a statement released by the Air Force Public Affairs Office, the military chopper was set to do an NVG Proficiency Training at the Tactical Operations Group 2 at the aforementioned airbase. According to the PAF, there were five (05) personnel onboard the Huey helicopter when the incident happened.

A news report confirmed that four (04) onboard the chopper perished in the incident:

Investigations are on-going to determine the cause of the incident.
