PAL Cebu Hub Expands Connectivity with New Domestic Routes

The Philippines’ aviation sector continues to soar to new heights as the country’s premier flag carrier, Philippine Airlines (PAL), announced a significant expansion of its flight network from Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA/CEB). The airline has unveiled plans to resume flights to General Santos City and increase the frequency of its services to Legazpi, and Ozamiz City, further solidifying Cebu as a bustling aviation hub.

The Mactan-Cebu International Airport, located on the island of Mactan, is a key gateway in the central Philippines, serving as a critical link for travelers in the Visayas and Mindanao regions to reach various destinations within and outside the Philippines. The airport has seen a remarkable increase in its domestic flight connectivity, with a total of 210 domestic roundtrip flights weekly to several provincial cities in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

The PAL Group’s flight offerings from Mactan-Cebu include routes to the following Philippine cities:

  • Manila
  • Bacolod
  • Baguio
  • Borongan
  • Busuanga
  • Butuan
  • Cagayan de Oro
  • Caticlan
  • Clark
  • Cotabato
  • Davao
  • Iloilo
  • Puerto Princesa
  • Siargao
  • Tacloban
  • Zamboanga

In addition to these domestic routes, PAL also offers international flights from Mactan-Cebu to major destinations, including Bangkok, Tokyo (Narita), and Seoul (Incheon).

The latest addition to this ever-expanding network includes the resumption of flights between Cebu and General Santos City, with daily flights scheduled to begin on 15 December 2023. This development is set to enhance connectivity between these two dynamic cities, benefiting both business and leisure travelers.

Starting on 16 December 2023, PAL will also reintroduce regular flights between Cebu and Ozamiz City. Travelers can look forward to convenient connections on this route, which promises to facilitate efficient travel between the two cities:

CEB – GES – CEB

  • PR 2357 Cebu-General Santos – Daily departing at 02:30 PM, arriving at 03:50 PM
  • PR 2358 General Santos-Cebu – Daily departing at 04:20 PM, arriving at 05:40 PM

CEB – LEG – CEB

  • PR 2927 Cebu-Legazpi – Daily departing at 06:00 PM, arriving at 07:10 PM
  • PR 2928 Legazpi-Cebu – Daily departing at 07:30 PM, arriving at 08:40 PM

CEB – OZC – CEB

  • PR 2893 Cebu-Ozamiz – every Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday departing at 07:35 AM, arriving at 08:40 AM
  • PR 2894 Ozamiz-Cebu – every Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday departing at 09:00 AM, arriving at 10:00 AM

These new routes will be operated by the 86-seater De Havilland DHC-8-400 Next Gen aircraft, providing a comfortable and efficient travel experience for passengers.
