Philippine Airlines (PAL) is set to enhance its connectivity to Mainland China with the launch of thrice-weekly nonstop flights between Manila and Beijing, starting 30 March 2025. This new service strengthens PAL’s presence in the region, contributing to the growth of tourism, trade, and bilateral relations between the Philippines and China.
According to PAL President and Chief Operating Officer, Capt. Stanley K. Ng, the airline is honored to serve Beijing, the diplomatic heart of the world’s second-largest economy. He emphasized that the Manila-Beijing route would help foster deeper ties between the two nations. “We believe that the Manila-Beijing service will help boost tourism, enhance trade, and deepen the friendly ties between the Filipino and Chinese people,” said Capt. Ng.
The Manila-Beijing flights will be operated by an Airbus A321 aircraft, which offers both Business Class and Economy Class services with a seating capacity ranging from 168 to 199 seats. The flights will operate every Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday, with PR 358 departing Manila at 0655H GMT+8 and arriving in Beijing at 1155H GMT+8. The return flight, PR 359, will depart Beijing at 1255H GMT+8 and land in Manila at 1805H GMT+8.
Beijing, known for its iconic historical landmarks such as the Great Wall of China, the Forbidden City, and the Summer Palace, attracts millions of global visitors. It is also conveniently located less than an hour from Tianjin, a major industrial seaport city, via high-speed train.
With the addition of Beijing, PAL now operates the most extensive network between the Philippines and Mainland China, offering daily flights to Shanghai (Pudong), Xiamen, and Quanzhou (Jinjiang), all from Manila. For travelers from Beijing, the new route provides easy access to PAL’s extensive domestic and regional network, including top destinations such as Cebu, Davao, Boracay, and Palawan, as well as international destinations across Southeast Asia, Australia, and North America.
