The country’s flag carrier, Philippine Airlines (PAL) has issued Advisory #59 confirming that all of their domestic flights to and from Manila, Cebu, and Clark will remain canceled until 31 May 2020.
The extension of the flights’ cancellation is related to the lengthened Enhanced Community Quarantine or transition to the Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine in certain areas of the country, including Metro Manila.
PAL, however, is currently evaluating the possibility of resuming international flight operations and/or domestic routes to and from Davao.
Passengers who had previously booked on a cancelled flight are assured that their current tickets are safe and remain valid. Passenger options for changes in booking can be found via https://tinyurl.com/y9vbd98c.
PAL Flights from June 1st onwards
In the same advisory, PAL said they are planning to operate a reduced number of weekly flights on most domestic routes and on selected international routes beginning 01 June 2020 depending on COVID-19 conditions like community quarantine restrictions, travel bans imposed by various governments and their impact on passenger demand, and as well as all on the public health and safety situation in each of the countries that they fly to.
The airline said that they will continue to operate occasional special flights to repatriate stranded passengers and to transport urgent cargo like medical equipment and supplies to help sustain critical supply chains across the Philippines and on selected international routes.
