Philippine Airlines (PAL) is enhancing the passenger journey with its newly launched pre-flight meal ordering feature, offering travelers the convenience of customizing their inflight dining experience. Available through the airline’s website and mobile app, this service caters to a range of culinary preferences and dietary needs.
Seamless Meal Pre-Ordering for Domestic & International Flights
Passengers on PAL’s domestic flights can now pre-order delectable dishes crafted by the airline’s culinary team. For international travelers in Economy and Premium Economy, the feature allows upgrades to enhanced meal selections from the myPAL Flavors menu.
Options include hearty choices like Corned Beef Hoagie and Beef Sisig Wraps, seafood delights such as the Salmon Croissant and Shrimp Pita, and kid-friendly selections like the Bistro Mediterranean Chicken Wrap.
Business Class Gastronomy
Business Class passengers flying from Manila to destinations like the U.S., Canada, Australia, and Honolulu can curate their dining experience from an exclusive menu. Seasonal dishes include Chicken Adobo Roulade, Ilocano Cauliflower Adobo, Braised Beef Short Ribs, and Pan-Seared Seabass with Mashed Potatoes.
To ease jet lag, Filipino breakfast staples such as Classic Beef Tapsilog, Stuffed Bangus with Garlic Fried Rice, and Adlai Champorado are available for flights to North America. Passengers can select their meals up to 30 days in advance, but no later than 72 hours before departure.
Options for Dietary Restrictions
PAL accommodates passengers with special dietary requirements, offering Vegan, Vegetarian, Diabetic, Gluten-Free, Low Fat, and Low Sodium meals, among others. The airline also provides Baby and Child Meals for younger travelers. For cultural preferences, Hindu, Kosher, and Halal-certified meals are available, with halal options standard on flights to the Middle East, Indonesia, and Malaysia.
Easy Booking Process
Travelers can select their meals during the booking process or via the Manage Booking feature on the website or app for existing reservations.
“As the Philippines’ only full-service network airline, we aim to elevate our passengers’ travel experience by offering the convenience of personalizing their meals. With a simple click, days ahead of their PAL flights, they can exercise the power of choice and board their flight with their preferred meal,” according to Alvin Miranda, PAL Vice President for Marketing.
