Philippine Airlines Launches Direct Flights to Seattle, Invites Filipinos to Experience Holiday Season in the Pacific Northwest

Philippine Airlines (PAL) has expanded its reach in the United States by launching a new nonstop route to Seattle (SEA | KSEA), Washington. This latest addition marks the airline’s sixth U.S. destination, joining its established routes to Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Guam, and Honolulu. PAL’s Seattle service promises to connect Filipino travelers directly to the “Emerald City” in just 12 hours, making it a convenient option for holiday reunions and winter vacations.

Seattle is renowned for its lively coffee culture, eclectic culinary scene, and picturesque parks, as well as iconic landmarks like the Space Needle. With PAL’s new route, Filipino travelers now have easier access to explore Seattle’s unique offerings, from its thriving arts districts to its popular sports scene, including Seahawks football games.

Capt. Stanley Ng, President and COO of Philippine Airlines, highlighted the significance of the new route, saying, “We’ve seen an unprecedented demand among our passengers even before our maiden voyage to Seattle began. Our first few flights have been almost fully booked, as Filipinos in both Manila and Seattle are eager to experience this new route. To those who have been dreaming of visiting the Emerald City, the holiday season is a good time to fulfill this dream. We can also bring you closer to places such as Las Vegas, Chicago, Houston, Portland, and other locations through our interline partner, Alaska Airlines.”

The Seattle service, which operates from Manila’s Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1 (MNL | RPLL), offers three flights per week, departing every Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. In Seattle, flights will land at Seattle Tacoma International Airport (SEA | KSEA), a key gateway for both domestic and international travelers.

Beyond providing a direct link for those looking to visit family and friends, PAL’s Seattle route also opens doors for business and tourism. The city is home to a large Filipino-American community and a thriving tech industry, housing major corporations and opportunities for networking and career growth.

Travelers can take advantage of PAL’s special holiday rates by booking directly through the airline’s website. With these expanded travel options, PAL aims to strengthen the bond between the Philippines and the U.S., fostering cultural exchange and economic growth through increased tourism and business opportunities.
