Philippine Airlines (PAL) is set to launch a new direct route connecting Manila, Philippines (MNL | RPLL) and Da Nang, Vietnam (DAD | VVDN), starting 01 July 2025. The move is part of the flag carrier’s ongoing expansion in Vietnam, aimed at boosting tourism and business travel between the two Southeast Asian nations.
The new service will operate three times weekly, with flights departing from Manila’s Ninoy Aquino International Airport every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. PAL will deploy its Airbus A321 aircraft, which can accommodate up to 199 passengers in Business and Economy Class configurations.
“We at Philippine Airlines are excited to strengthen our close relationship with the Vietnamese people with the introduction of direct Manila-Da Nang flights. PAL is committed to offering greater connectivity and promoting tourism and commerce between our capital city and the central Vietnamese heartland. We look forward to welcoming more leisure and business travelers onboard our flights to Da Nang,” according to PAL President and Chief Operating Officer Capt. Stanley K. Ng.
The addition of Da Nang to PAL’s growing Vietnam network makes it the airline’s third major expansion into the country this year. In recent months, PAL upgraded its Manila-Hanoi-Manila route to daily service and is preparing to launch a Cebu-Ho Chi Minh City route on 02 May 2025. The airline also continues to operate eight weekly flights between Manila and Ho Chi Minh City.
Da Nang, a vibrant coastal city in Central Vietnam, is renowned for its scenic beaches, historic sites, and proximity to UNESCO World Heritage locations such as the ancient town of Hoi An, the Imperial City of Hue, and the My Son Sanctuary. The city also features modern attractions like the Marble Mountains and the iconic Golden Bridge.
The schedule for PAL’s new Manila-Da Nang-Manila service is as follows:
- PR 585: Manila to Da Nang — departs at 1110H PhST (GMT+8) and arrives at 1245H GMT+7 every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.
