Philippines to Host 2024 Aviation Summit to Boost Investment and Trade

The Philippines is gearing up to host the 2024 Aviation Summit, a major event aimed at attracting investment and boosting trade in the country’s aviation sector. The summit, organized by the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP) and the Asian Business Aviation Association (AsBAA), will bring together key stakeholders from the government, private sector, and international organizations.

The event will focus on the pivotal role of aviation in the Philippine economy and push for sustainable development within the sector. It will also address pressing challenges, such as the need for legislative reforms and infrastructure development.

“We are thrilled to co-organize the 2024 Aviation Summit alongside AsBAA and our event partners from both the government and the private sector. The aviation sector serves as a catalyst for trade, investment, commerce, and connectivity in the country. Through this year’s installment, we aim to facilitate meaningful discussions that will shape the future of Philippine and regional aviation,” according to ECCP President Paulo Duarte at the press launch.

The summit will feature presentations and panel discussions on a wide range of topics, including airport operations, capacity building, and the role of the private sector in aviation development. It will also provide a platform for networking and collaboration among participants.

“This vital aspect will be further explored during the upcoming 2024 Aviation Summit, the second leg of this series, which will leverage this success and chart a way forward for a comprehensive climb to higher heights in the country’s aviation sector,” said AsBAA Vice Chairman Maximilian Motschmann highlighting the importance of business aviation in economic development and enhanced connectivity.

The event is expected to draw a large number of participants from across the aviation industry. It is seen as a major opportunity for the Philippines to showcase its potential as a hub for aviation in the region.

ECCP Executive Director Florian Gottein said, “Addressing the most pressing issues of the Philippine aviation sector requires concerted efforts and collaboration from all stakeholders involved. The 2024 Aviation Summit presents an opportunity to highlight the power of partnership in driving progress in the industry and it underscores the commitment of the ECCP and its Aviation Committee to promote growth, sustainability, efficiency, and safety within the sector.”

The 2024 Aviation Summit is scheduled to take place on 02 to 03 October 2024 at the Marriott Hotel Manila in Pasay City.
