Scoot Expands Network with New Direct Flights to Vienna and Iloilo City

Scoot, the budget airline arm of Singapore Airlines (SIA), is set to expand its global reach with the launch of direct flights to Vienna, Austria, and Iloilo City, Philippines. These additions aim to provide travelers with affordable access to new destinations while enhancing connectivity within Southeast Asia and Europe.

Starting 03 June 2025, Scoot will operate thrice-weekly flights to Vienna on its Boeing B787-8 Dreamliner, offering a comfortable journey with seating for 329 passengers across two cabin classes. Meanwhile, flights to Iloilo City will commence on 14 April 2025, utilizing the Embraer E190-E2 aircraft, which accommodates 112 passengers. Initially available twice weekly, the Iloilo route will increase to four times weekly by June 2025.

Vienna, often called the “City of Music,” is renowned for its rich cultural history, having produced classical music giants like Mozart and Strauss. The city attracts tourists with its grand architecture, artistic legacy, and proximity to other European cities. Bratislava, Slovakia’s capital, is just 50 kilometers from Vienna Airport, while major destinations such as Budapest, Czechia, and Croatia are within a short drive, making Vienna an excellent starting point for broader European exploration.

Iloilo City, located in the central Philippines, offers a vibrant mix of cultural heritage and modern attractions. Known for its Spanish-era churches and the famous Dinagyang Festival, this lively city presents a perfect getaway for both relaxation and adventure.

Scoot CEO Leslie Thng expressed enthusiasm about the airline’s network expansion, stating, “We remain committed to expanding our network and connecting travelers to new destinations around the world at a great value.  As the only airline offering direct flights between Singapore and Vienna, we are thrilled to introduce this new service from June, just in time for the holidays. With the launch of direct flights to Iloilo City, we also hope to inspire our customers to explore more cities within South East Asia and embark on new travel experiences.”

Tickets for these new destinations are now on sale, with one-way fares beginning at S$309 for Vienna and S$129 for Iloilo City. Premium ScootPlus fares are also offered for travelers seeking enhanced comfort.

To streamline operations, Scoot will suspend services to Berlin and Jinan by the end of March 2025. Affected passengers will be contacted directly for rebooking or refunds.
