Singapore Airlines (SIA) is set to redefine in-flight luxury by becoming the only airline worldwide to exclusively serve Cristal 2015 champagne in its Suites and First Class cabins. Through a unique partnership with renowned French champagne house Louis Roederer, SIA will begin offering the prestigious champagne starting 01 December 2024, on selected long-haul routes.
The highly celebrated Cristal 2015, known for its refined quality and complexity, will initially be available on Singapore Airlines’ Airbus A380 Suites and Boeing B777-300ER First Class flights between Singapore and major destinations such as Delhi, Hong Kong, London, Los Angeles, Paris, Shanghai, Sydney, and Tokyo. Following this launch phase, SIA plans to rotate the champagne service across other Suites and First Class routes every three months.
Crafted by Louis Roederer’s cellar master Jean-Baptiste Lécaillon, Cristal 2015 is a blend of 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay, sourced from the house’s elite Grand Cru vineyards. The wine is a result of sustainable viticulture practices and extended cellar aging, imbuing it with remarkable depth and elegance. According to Frédéric Rouzaud, CEO of Louis Roederer, Cristal 2015 “delivers intense and delicious aromas with superb energy,” along with a vibrant freshness that complements its sophisticated structure.
“This partnership between two world-class brands demonstrates Singapore Airlines’ commitment to elevating the travel experience for our discerning customers. Exclusively offering a premium champagne like Cristal 2015 will delight our Suites and First Class customers, and ensures that they continue to enjoy an unparalleled, luxurious journey with us,” according to Yeoh Phee Teik, Senior Vice President Customer Experience, Singapore Airlines.
The selection of Cristal 2015 is part of Singapore Airlines’ carefully curated in-flight wine program, overseen by a distinguished panel of wine consultants. SIA wine consultant Jeannie Cho Lee, a Master of Wine, emphasized that Cristal 2015 meets the highest standards of in-flight wine service. “Our goal is to ensure that the finest wines from the best vintages enhance the travel experience and complement the in-flight cuisine on board Singapore Airlines flights. Cristal 2015 is an exceptional experience, which is highly sought-after by the most demanding wine connoisseurs worldwide,” she noted, adding that the champagne’s profile is exceptionally suited to high-altitude enjoyment.
This exclusive partnership highlights Singapore Airlines’ dedication to delivering a premium, unforgettable travel experience that stands out in the competitive world of luxury aviation. As the only carrier offering Cristal 2015, SIA is not only enhancing its reputation as a leader in in-flight luxury but also setting new standards for how travelers experience fine dining and wine at 36,000 feet.
