STARLUX Airlines Partners with American Airlines to Expand North American Connectivity

STARLUX Airlines has taken another major step in expanding its global presence with the announcement of a new partnership with American Airlines. The development follows closely on the heels of STARLUX’s launch of nonstop flights between Phoenix, Arizona, and Taipei, further strengthening its transpacific footprint.

The interline partnership between STARLUX and American Airlines will give passengers greater convenience and more choices when traveling between North America and Asia. Through this collaboration, travelers can enjoy seamless booking on a single ticket, through-checked luggage, and easy transfers between American’s vast domestic network and STARLUX’s long-haul services.

With American Airlines’ extensive presence across North America, passengers now have access to smoother connections from cities such as New York, Philadelphia, Boston, Chicago, Charlotte, Miami, Dallas-Fort Worth, and even Mexico City, directly linking to STARLUX’s hub in Taipei.

The collaboration comes at a strategic time, coinciding with the start of STARLUX’s new Taipei–Phoenix service. Phoenix, a key hub for American Airlines in the southwestern United States, provides strong connectivity to major U.S. cities. STARLUX has aligned its Phoenix flights to ensure smooth onward travel. Flight JX026 from Taipei (TPE) arrives in Phoenix (PHX) at 1740H, offering connections to over 40 domestic destinations, while the return flight JX025 departs at 2245H, enabling passengers from more than 60 American Airlines cities to link with STARLUX’s transpacific service.

The Taipei–Phoenix route is operated using Airbus A350 aircraft, featuring a four-class configuration: four seats in First Class, 26 in Business Class, 36 in Premium Economy, and 240 in Economy. Ticket sales for the new route are now open, and single-ticket booking options combining STARLUX and American flights are available through travel agents.

With this partnership, STARLUX Airlines strengthens its position as a rising transpacific carrier, while American Airlines adds a new gateway to Asia for its customers. Together, the two airlines are poised to offer more flexibility, comfort, and connectivity for travelers on both sides of the Pacific.
