Philippine Airlines Restores Manila–Saipan Direct Flights Starting March 2026

Philippine Airlines (PAL) is strengthening its Pacific network with the reinstatement of direct flights between Manila (MNL) and Saipan (SPN) beginning 29 March 2026, marking a significant expansion of the flag carrier’s footprint in the region. The move reinforces Manila’s position as a strategic gateway for travelers bound for the Pacific Islands and the U.S. territories.

The relaunched Saipan service builds on PAL’s growing route network across the Pacific. The airline currently operates flights to Guam and Honolulu, with new services to Palau and an additional Guam route via Cebu set to launch soon. The addition of Saipan further enhances connectivity for both leisure travelers and overseas Filipino communities, offering more travel options across the Pacific corridor.

As a U.S. territory, Saipan will become PAL’s seventh destination in the United States, joining its existing network covering Los Angeles (LAX), San Francisco (SFO), New York (JFK), Seattle (SEA), Guam (GUM), and Honolulu (HNL). This expansion not only boosts PAL’s presence in the U.S. market but also strengthens its position as the only Philippine carrier with a wide-reaching network linking the country to key Pacific and American cities.

To celebrate the return of the Manila–Saipan service, PAL is offering special introductory fares. Economy Class passengers may avail one-way base fares starting at US$249 and round-trip fares from US$389. For travelers seeking a more premium experience, Business Class fares begin at US$669 one-way and US$1,029 round-trip — making the new route an attractive option for both tourists and business travelers.

“PAL is dedicated to expanding its global presence to meet the evolving needs of the market, across both passenger and cargo segments, while remaining steadfast in our commitment to delivering service excellence. Passengers can look forward to Philippine Airlines’ world-class service and the trademark Filipino warmth and heartfelt care in every journey,” according to PAL President Richard Nuttall.

The reinstated route is expected to benefit various traveler segments. Beach lovers and diving enthusiasts from Asia and North America can conveniently reach Saipan through PAL’s Manila hub. Meanwhile, direct flights to Manila will offer the Chamorro community and international visitors seamless access to PAL’s comprehensive domestic and international network, improving connectivity across the Philippines and beyond.

PAL will operate twice-weekly flights on the Manila–Saipan route. Departures from Manila are scheduled every Wednesday and Sunday at 1945H, arriving in Saipan at 0145H the following day. Return flights from Saipan to Manila will operate every Monday and Thursday, leaving Saipan at 0250H and reaching Manila at 0505H.
