The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) has announced a series of official reassignments across its airports, aiming to reinforce operational stability and maintain uninterrupted service delivery for travelers.
Effective February 21, 2026, Glenn Tripulca, formerly Civil Aviation Area Manager for Area Center III, has been designated as Civil Aviation Area Manager for both Area Centers III and IV, expanding his oversight responsibilities. Meanwhile, Mohammad Naga Rascal, who previously served as Area Manager for Area Center IV, has been reassigned to the Office of the Deputy Director General for Operations to support higher-level management functions.
At the airport level, Christopher Enriquez, formerly Airport Manager of San Jose Airport, has been appointed as Airport Manager of Puerto Princesa International Airport, while Niel Dela Cruz, who served as Officer-in-Charge of Pinamalayan/Calapan Airport, now assumes the role of Acting Airport Manager of San Jose Airport. In addition, Ryan Valera, previously part of the Aerodrome Rescue and Firefighting Unit at San Jose Airport, has been designated as Officer-in-Charge of Calapan/Pinamalayan Airport, ensuring leadership continuity in these critical positions.
Two personnel from Puerto Princesa International Airport have also been reassigned to Iloilo International Airport, further supporting operational efficiency and stability.
CAAP Director General Retired Lt. Gen. Raul Del Rosario emphasized that these reassignments are part of a broader initiative to ensure stability across the country’s airport network. The moves follow a directive from Transportation Secretary Giovanni Lopez to replace the area manager at Puerto Princesa International Airport while investigations continue into the recent tragic incident involving a former airport official.
The Authority continues to monitor the ongoing case while prioritizing the safety, security, and efficiency of airport operations for passengers and stakeholders. By strategically positioning experienced personnel in critical roles, CAAP aims to maintain high standards of service and operational efficiency across its facilities, reinforcing public confidence in the country’s civil aviation sector.
