CFM International will actively back IndiGo in establishing the airline’s upcoming in-house engine Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) facility. In addition, the contract features a comprehensive long-term material services framework covering spare parts provision, structural maintenance support, predictable expenditure structures, and elevated dispatch reliability. Safran recently inaugurated its largest dedicated LEAP engine MRO facility, spanning 45,000 square meters with the capability to process up to 300 engine shop visits annually alongside a next-generation test bench. Coupled with ongoing engineering refinements such as high-pressure turbine durability upgrades and reverse bleed systems, CFM is actively working to maximize engine time-on-wing while lowering long-term maintenance burdens for rapid-growth partners like IndiGo.
