Cebu Pacific Expands Regional Footprint with New Direct Flights to China, Vietnam, and Japan in Q4 Expansion

The Philippines’ leading budget carrier, Cebu Pacific (5J) is significantly boosting its international route network during the fourth quarter of 2026. By adding multiple direct routes to key economic and tourism hubs across China, Vietnam, and Japan, the airline is offering passengers increased convenience and budget-friendly choices to explore major Asian destinations just ahead of the busy holiday travel period.

To celebrate this major route expansion, the airline is rolling out a promotional seat sale spanning 07 to 11 August 2026. Travelers can secure seats for as low as a PHP 1.00 base fare for a one-way flight, which excludes additional government taxes, airport fees, and carrier surcharges. The designated travel period for this promotional booking window extends from 26 October 2026, through 31 March 2027, allowing leisure and business passengers ample time to arrange their upcoming international itineraries.

Central to this latest expansion strategy is the strengthening of the carrier’s hub at Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA | CEB), which will see three major international additions. Starting 26 October 2026, direct services connecting Cebu (CEB) and Ho Chi Minh City (SGN) in Vietnam will resume with three weekly flights scheduled every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Shortly after, on 17 November 2026, the airline will introduce three weekly flights linking Cebu (CEB) with Shanghai (PVG), China, operating every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, with return flights from Shanghai (PVG) to Cebu (CEB) starting 18 November 2026 on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. This move makes Cebu Pacific the sole local airline offering non-stop service on the Cebu-Shanghai sector. Furthermore, on 19 November 2026, four weekly direct flights will connect Cebu (CEB) to Nagoya (NGO), Japan, running on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Nagoya becomes the third Japanese city accessible directly from Cebu aboard Cebu Pacific aircraft, joining existing links to Tokyo-Narita and Osaka, with Cebu Pacific standing as the exclusive operator on this city pair.

Travelers in Luzon will also benefit from enhanced point-to-point regional connectivity without needing to clear flights through Manila. On 19 November 2026, direct flights between Clark International Airport (CRK) and Hanoi (HAN), Vietnam, will relaunch with three weekly frequencies on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Return sectors operating from Hanoi (HAN) back to Clark (CRK) will commence on 20 November 2026 on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.Cebu Pacific remains the sole airline providing direct air links between Clark and Vietnam. In addition, the carrier is reinstating direct services between Manila (MNL) and Xiamen (XMN) starting 23 November 2026, operating twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays. This route joins existing non-stop Manila (MNL) services to Shanghai (PVG) and Guangzhou (CAN), offering greater access to trade and tourism centers throughout China.
