Cebu Pacific (CEB) has further strengthened its fleet with the delivery of its 12th aircraft for 2024. The newly acquired Airbus A321neo (MSN 12067 | RP-C4146), a fuel-efficient and environmentally friendly aircraft, arrived at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) on 26 September 2024 from the aircraft manufacturer’s Airbus Hamburg-Finkenwerder plant in Germany (XFW | EDHI). The plane was ferried to Manila via Muscat, Oman (MCT | OOMS) and Ho Chi Minh City (SGN | VVTS).
This latest addition to CEB’s fleet is a significant milestone in the airline’s ongoing network expansion and fleet modernization efforts. The 236-seater A321neo will join CEB’s existing fleet of Airbus A330s, A320s, A321s, and ATR turboprop aircraft, enabling the airline to offer a wider range of domestic and international routes.
“This latest aircraft delivery aligns with our goal of enhancing our fleet and expanding our network to better serve every Juan. With each fuel-efficient aircraft we welcome to our fleet, we are taking steps toward achieving our net zero goal by 2050, while continuing to open more routes and introduce new destinations for our passengers,” according to Xander Lao, CEB President and Chief Commercial Officer.
The Airbus A321neo is known for its fuel efficiency and reduced noise pollution compared to previous generation aircraft. Its 15% lower fuel consumption per flight contributes to a significant reduction in carbon emissions, making it a more environmentally friendly option for air travel.
