ANA Revamps Premium Check-in Facilities at Haneda Airport with Enhanced Features and Sustainability

All Nippon Airways (ANA), Japan’s largest 5-Star airline for 11 consecutive years, is upgrading its check-in facilities at Tokyo’s Haneda Airport to provide a more seamless and comfortable experience for its premium members. The renovations, which will be completed in phases, underscore ANA’s commitment to customer satisfaction and sustainability.

The ANA SUITE CHECK-IN, reserved for Diamond Service members, will be the first to unveil its upgraded design on 02 December 2024. Shortly after, on 18 December 2024, the north-side ANA PREMIUM CHECK-IN, catering to premium members and premium class passengers, will also reopen with new features. The south-side ANA PREMIUM CHECK-IN is expected to complete its renovations by summer 2025.

Key improvements include additional counters and a more spacious layout in the ANA SUITE CHECK-IN area. The ANA PREMIUM CHECK-IN will feature upgraded digital signage and a more efficient layout to enhance passenger convenience. A significant innovation in both facilities is the introduction of smart lanes, which streamline security checks by eliminating the need for passengers to remove laptops and liquids from their carry-on baggage.

“ANA is committed to providing a superior travel experience for our customers. These renovations demonstrate our dedication to passenger comfort and ease, while reflecting Japanese craftsmanship and sustainable practices. We will continue to innovate and enhance our services to exceed customer expectations,” according to Tomoji Ishii, Executive Vice President of Customer Experience Management and Planning at ANA.

The renovations integrate traditional Japanese artistry and eco-friendly materials. The facility facades will feature Toban ceramic panels crafted from recycled in-flight tableware, with each piece offering unique textures and colors. The ANA SUITE CHECK-IN will include walls finished with traditional plastering, a UNESCO-recognized Intangible Cultural Heritage technique, while the flooring will utilize carbon-neutral natural linoleum.
