Air Astana Expands Middle East, Asia Network with New Routes and More Flights This Autumn 2025

Air Astana (KC | KZR) is set to significantly expand its network across the Middle East and Asia during autumn 2025, introducing a mix of resumed routes and increased flight frequencies to popular travel destinations. The move reflects growing passenger demand and the airline’s strategic focus on strengthening connectivity between Kazakhstan and key leisure and pilgrimage markets.

Since September 2025, Air Astana has resumed twice-weekly flights from Almaty (ALA) to Jeddah (JED), alongside weekly flights from Shymkent (CIT) to the same Saudi Arabian city. The airline will also relaunch flights from Almaty (ALA) to Medina (MED) twice weekly beginning late October 2025, while Shymkent–Medina services will operate once a week. In addition, flights from Astana (NQZ) to Jeddah (JED) and Medina (MED) will alternate every two weeks, offering passengers more flexibility when planning their travels to the Kingdom. New services from Aktau (SCO) to both Jeddah (JED) and Medina (MED) will follow the same alternating biweekly schedule, further strengthening Air Astana’s presence in the Middle East.

The airline’s expansion also extends to Asia, catering to travelers seeking tropical and leisure destinations. Starting in late October, Air Astana will resume its Almaty (ALA) – Malé (Maldives | MLE) service three times a week, which will increase to five weekly flights during the peak holiday season. The Almaty (ALA) – Phu Quoc (Vietnam | PQC) route will operate five times per week initially and increase to daily service by December, while flights from Astana (ALA) to Phu Quoc (PQC) will be available three times weekly.

In the Gulf region, Air Astana will ramp up capacity to the United Arab Emirates to meet strong passenger demand. The Almaty (ALA) – Dubai (DXB) route will grow from seven to 12 flights per week, while the Astana–Dubai connection will increase from seven to 10 weekly flights.

Travelers to Thailand will also benefit from more options, as Air Astana increases service frequency on both Almaty (ALA) – Bangkok (BKK) and Almaty (ALA) – Phuket (HKT) routes. Each destination will now be served daily, up from the previous four flights per week, giving Kazakh travelers easier access to Thailand’s most popular vacation spots.

All routes under this expansion program will be operated by Air Astana’s modern Airbus A320neo and A321LR aircraft, offering passengers enhanced comfort, improved fuel efficiency, and reliable service.
