Philippine Airlines (PAL | PR) has officially welcomed the arrival of its second Airbus A350-1000 (registered as RP-C3511) at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA | MNL) in Pasay City earlier today. This latest acquisition marks another major milestone in the flag carrier’s continuing fleet modernization program, signaling an aggressive push to strengthen its footprint in the highly competitive international aviation market.

The brand-new widebody aircraft touched down in Manila via a direct flight out of the Airbus facility in Toulouse (TLS), France, at exactly 1718H PhST, greeted by airline executives and aviation enthusiasts alike. This delivery closely follows the arrival of the airline’s first A350-1000 variant in December 2025. Both aircraft form part of the flag carrier’s landmark order for a total of nine (09) Airbus A350-1000 aircraft, which are slated to become the backbone of the airline’s ultra-long-haul operations over the coming years.

With this latest delivery, Philippine Airlines maintains its prestigious status as the first and only carrier in the Southeast Asian region to operate the massive Airbus A350-1000. This gives the local airline a distinct competitive edge, allowing it to offer superior capacity and state-of-the-art cabin products that stand out in the regional market.

Specifically designed for demanding long-haul operations, the Airbus A350-1000 delivers greater fuel efficiency, exceptional operational reliability, enhanced passenger comfort, and significantly improved environmental performance. These advanced technological features are vital for supporting the airline’s growing network between the Philippines and North America, where non-stop flights require maximum efficiency and range.

Philippine Airlines President Richard Nuttall expressed strong confidence in the new fleet addition, noting that as global demand for international travel continues to grow, this second Airbus A350-1000 will play an important role in enhancing their long-haul operations. He emphasized that the aircraft will elevate the overall passenger experience while directly supporting the long-term modernization goals of the company.

The touchdown of the new aircraft comes at a time when the carrier continues to build on its massive operational momentum, following a successful period of post-pandemic recovery and corporate transformation. The flag carrier has been hitting its stride in operational reliability, as evidenced by global aviation analytics firm Cirium recognizing Philippine Airlines as the number one most on-time airline in the Asia-Pacific region for the year 2025.

As the airline integrates this second A350-1000 into its daily schedules, local aviation observers can expect the carrier to deploy the aircraft on its premium routes, further cementing its position as a world-class global airline representing the spirit of the Philippines.
