Philippine Airlines (PAL | PR) has taken another major step forward in expanding its international network following the arrival of its fourth Airbus A350-1000 widebody aircraft at Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Manila. The new aircraft, registered as RP-C3513, touched down at 1922H on 02 September 2026. The vessel completed its non-stop ferry flight directly from the Airbus delivery center located in Toulouse (TLS), France. This latest widebody addition strengthens the flag carrier’s overall long-haul fleet while reinforcing its ongoing commitment to providing passengers with a world-class travel experience on transpacific and intercontinental routes.
The newly delivered RP-C3513 represents the fourth aircraft out of nine total Airbus A350-1000s ordered by Philippine Airlines back in 2023. The multi-aircraft order forms an integral pillar of the airline’s active fleet modernization program and broader strategy for international growth. Notably, Philippine Airlines remains the first and only carrier operating the Airbus A350-1000 model across all of Southeast Asia.
Serving as the flagship vessel for the flag carrier’s long-haul network operations, the widebody A350-1000 is laid out in a spacious 382-seat, three-class configuration. Passengers flying aboard this next-generation jet can experience private Business Class suites complete with sliding privacy doors, along with a dedicated Premium Economy cabin and an upgraded Economy Class product specifically engineered to deliver elevated comfort during extended intercontinental journeys. Beyond passenger amenities, the advanced airframe delivers marked improvements in operational performance, featuring superior fuel efficiency and reduced carbon emissions compared to older generation aircraft types.
The arrival of RP-C3513 comes at a time when Philippine Airlines is heavily investing in the future expansion of its long-haul fleet. During the Farnborough International Airshow in June, the airline signed Memoranda of Understanding for nine additional Airbus A350-1000 aircraft, with purchase rights for five more, and 15 Boeing 787-10 Dreamliners, with options for five additional aircraft, for delivery through 2036. These strategic long-term commitments highlight the airline’s robust confidence in sustained international passenger demand and its dedication to operating one of the newest, most eco-efficient widebody fleets in the region.
In line with its strategic route structure, the Airbus A350-1000 fleet is actively deployed to major global cities including San Francisco, New York, and Toronto. These key operations support the flag carrier’s core mission of seamlessly connecting the Philippines to the rest of the world through premier air travel and signature warm Filipino hospitality.
